I know your views and basically they are Israel should withdraw to the <67 borders

I keep saying and everyone says "well, just do it and we'll have to wait and see what happens then" that until the PLO and the HAMAS etc accept Israel's right to exist - even within the 67 borders - there will be no peace and it'd be tantamount to suicide to think different.

Now here the proof that the PLO still has AT ITS CORE a committment to eradicate ALL of Israel

    Still calling for Israel's destruction

Arafat aide admits PLO Covenant never altered after Oslo Accords

Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's foreign minister has acknowledged that the PLO National Covenant, with its many clauses calling for violence and the destruction of Israel, has never been changed, reports Dubai newspaper Al Bayan.

The paper quoted Foreign Minister Farouk Kaddoumi in an article earlier this week.

The 1993 Oslo accords required Arafat to remove those clauses from the National Covenant.

According to a statement from the Zionist Organization of America, "in April 1996, Arafat's Palestine National Council (PNC) – the only body legally empowered to change the Covenant – passed a resolution appointing a legal committee to consider the changes; but the committee never met. On Dec. 14, 1998, Arafat and President Bill Clinton presided over a meeting in Gaza of Palestinian Arab notables – although it was not a meeting of the PNC – at which the audience raised their hands to signal approval of a statement by Arafat claiming that the Covenant had already been changed in 1996."

Al Bayan reported Kaddoumi as saying "that the PLO adheres to its national charter," which includes clauses that call for Israel's destruction. It also reported that Kaddoumi "praised all types of military operations carried out by the Palestinian resistance fighters against Israelis."

Earlier this year, according to the Zionist Organization of America, a senior official of the Palestine National Council publicly acknowledged that no new version of the Covenant was ever issued. Zuhair Sanduka, the PNC's director of international parliamentary affairs, told the Israeli news agency IMRA on Jan. 23: "No other Charter [Covenant] has indeed been written since [1998]. ... There are publications that refer to the decision to make the amendments. But there are no other texts – no other paragraphs or articles in place of those articles that had to be canceled or amended. But there is the reference that there are articles that should be either canceled, modified or amended."

As published in the June issue of Whistleblower magazine, here are excerpts from the Palestinian National Covenant:

… Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. Thus it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase. The Palestinian Arab people assert their absolute determination and firm resolution to continue their armed struggle and to work for an armed popular revolution for the liberation of their country and their return to it.
… Zionism is a political movement organically associated with international imperialism and antagonistic to all action for liberation and to progressive movements in the world. It is racist and fanatic in its nature; aggressive, expansionist and colonial in its aims; and fascist in its methods.

… Israel is a constant source of threat vis-a-vis peace in the Middle East and the world. Since the liberation of Palestine will destroy the Zionist and imperialist presence and will contribute to the establishment of peace in the Middle East, the Palestinian people look for the support all the progressive and peaceful forces and urge them all … to offer the Palestinian people all aid and support in the just struggle for the liberation of their homeland.
