I'm no Blockchain expert, but Jamie Skella is...and I'm only speculating on where this could lead if an Esports cryptocurrency was created:

1. Streamers mine/earn the coin by Streaming.
2. Players mine/earn coins by playing.
3. Supporters mine/earn coins by watching.
4. Elite voters mine/earn coins by voting.

I hope this is a marriage made in heaven...DYOR and I'm only speculating/joining dots and not a financial advisor.
