It still baffles me how this joke of a outfit is still moving along. Doesn't anyone out there have any metallurgical smarts? If they did you'd realise quickly that a 'surface miner' on Marra Mamba will be flicking picks like the rest of us opening stubbies with our teeth. Wear rates will be excessive and I suspect messy drill and blast will be the only option (eventually). Have a chat with the regular met crew and you'll see it's been tried before and failed miserably by both majors.
Can't wait to see this one implode.
