I do rememeber reading somewhere the the acid consumption was ~0.4tons per ton of feed material. So in terms of acid consumption that could be ~400,000t of acid per annum if treating ~1Mtpa and not getting any acid recycle.

The other thing is that this means reasonable sized volumes of solutions running into a solvent extraction where there also needs to be reasonabley large amounts of extraction solutions...

Very intereesting process though would I need to know a whole heap more before commenting on the ecomomics of it.
