Following the met work thread with comparisons with a real mining operation mining similar ore, it is interesting to have a look at SEMAFO operations in Burkina Faso, at the Manna Operation.
They are producing about 180,000 ounces per year, 30% profit margin (comparable with Barrack) at a cash cost of 2011 E us$ 495-us$535 as per their Jan 2011 Investor Presentation...see their web site...do not do Albion or ultrafine grind
In round figures they are making about $900-$1000 per ounce
10 year Mine Life
Reserves and Meas and Ind 3,300,000 ounces Resources 2,700,000 ounces
Strike extent of mineralised structure about 115 kms.
Several styles of mineralisation discovered
Ops in Niger and Guinea are higher cost, and smaller reserves/resources
Burkina Govt is very pro-mining and have just connected Manna to the power grid which sees the power costs go down by approx 35%
Mkt Cap about $2.2 billion.....
So perhaps Ampella is undervalued??
