re: metals strong - us$ only While the $US has started to fall again in the last few days, it is still not at its lows of a few months ago.
Yet metal prices have risen strongly over the last few days to new multi year highs (esp Copper). So metal prices are higher in all currencies at the moment.
It will be interesting to watch both the $US and LME prices over the next few weeks.
And gold is on the march up again.
