Yes I believe we are witnessing a world power shift similar to what happened in 20th century. The difference is the one in 20th century was completed through the II world war. Whereas this time the power shift will be completed through economy re-shuffle. The local stock market will be eventually coupled into the new power center. So the resource boom will go on for decades if not a century; AU dollar will reach parity with the green back; The gold price will continue to rise and uranium will start a new bull trend. Who will cares whether the US resource consumption has reached the peak or not?
