- MetalsTech (MTC) has hit a high-grade extension to the known mineralised zone at the Sturec Gold Mine in Slovakia
- Three diamond holes have been drilled to test for further mineralisation in and around the Schramen Vein — historically the host of most of the Sturec gold
- The third hole yielded a thick zone of 59 metres at 2.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 9.4g/t silver from 225 metres, extending the Schramen mineralisation
- The first two holes were drilled to orient the vein at depth, and also returned significant results outside the current mineralised envelope
- Further diamond drilling is underway, with more assays anticipated in coming days
- MetalsTech is up 20 per cent, trading for 18 cents
