A native token tied to it could play a role in governance, user incentives, and MetaMask’s broader decentralization plans. Lubin made it clear MASK will be linked to pushing the platform in that direction.Consensys has already shown it can deliver, their Linea Layer-2 token launched this month with billions distributed. If MASK follows a similar model, community participation could be central.
Personally, I think this could be one of the more meaningful token launches in recent memory. MetaMask is already a core part of Web3 activity, giving users a stake in its future is a logical next step.One to keep an eye on.
