Firstly, please don't interpret the heading as anything but a question. We have a duopoly with WOW and WES both heavily aligned with Caltex and Shell respectively. The petrol dockets and discounts are undoubtably hurting the Independent Fuel operators and MTS retailers. There are 3 major petrol outlets currently operating nationally, the other being BP. Does anyone know if MTS and BP have ever considered or discussed an arrangement to take on the others? Surely BP must see some benefit in this, as would MTS. And then there's MTS's auto parts business. There's got to be some advantages to both businesses. Opinions of others welcome.
