I watch IG dig100s 1pm, daily and weekly up/down.
1pm and daily = previous day cash close
weekly = previous week Fri close

depends on the weight of bets I guess but you can see index is manipulated around those figures.

Especially 1pm push up or down is the most obvious, index could race easyly 15-20 points in the direction big boys want it, then revert to "normal"
Thats IG play, also if City minis got too big then City is pushing for trigger to kill it if it is within reasonable range, you can feel it if you know the trigger levels for minis and see the volumes.
Those are the games I have observed, do anyone have some other observations?
