I snuck along tonight to PH's talk at the RSM club in Casino.

Some lovely lady named 'Wonda' would not shut her pie hole with rude interruptions all night, whilst holding a 'shut the gate sign' and seemingly leading a cheer squad on occasion. I think even some of her mates were mumbling 'shut uuuup"... LOL. I don't think I heard one intelligent or well thought out question from that side of the room all night. Sorry I take that back, one lovely lady over there (the first question) genuinely asked about how many jobs MEL thought would be created in Casino. To which he replied that it really depended what goes ahead but he could see 2-300.

I went along with my investor hat on tonight, (and hippy repellent in pocket) to gauge the community opposition to MEL's activities. After watching things take their course, I'm comfortable in thinking that there is no way a few of these screaming greenies are gonna hold them back.

I applaud MEL for being in touch with the community and I'm sure they will keep it up. I really hope they take it upon themselves to properly compensate these people for their land.

Oh yeah and one particularly interesting thing, with regards to the LWP - PH mentioned they were looking at partially putting the pipeline under the road so as to not disturb the national park. My understanding is this is only for part the pipeline but someone with better knowledge of the area might be able to put 2 and 2 together.
