One would think that would be a good bet in a 20 year time frame.

1970's - science predicts an ice age.

Now - it's global warming and AGW

Guess what it was just before the GFC --------- it was a really big deal and a looming disaster for the globe.

Go on - strain your brain - just before the GFC ?

It was going to be the greatest disaster of the last 100 years - including WW's.

Ok - I will tell you - it was a looming --- 'food crisis' -- world wide.

Now - what happened was - the GFC hit the papers and everyone forgot about the 'food crisis'.

Scientists and economists agreed - the 'food crisis' was real, it was coming down the track and it was going to wipe out millions.


So - how is our 'food crisis' going?


Hmmmm - well, yes, in fact American farmers did have a food crisis ---- but, not what was predicted - in fact ----- what they had was a logistics crisis because they had truly bumper harvests - so much harvest that their transport and storage couldn't handle it.

Ditto many parts of the planet --------- just TOO MUCH food - and, not only that but, also - clear evidence that the world is going green - very green - vegetation - including edible crops are growing like mad - thanks to higher CO2 partly.

So - the 'science' was 100% wrong - AGAIN - instead of famine - we had, and have abundance.

Crikey - I am glad the science wasn't settled on that one
