I found this recent brief article (5 October) about the Mexico schools testing in one state/province (Monterrey). From a news service Coparmex Nuevo Leon.

Interesting for two reasons. Firstly, indicates that the testing program has begun (preliminaries - selection of students etc) and, secondly, illustrates the complexity of the process and why the actual testing could not commence overnight.

Hopefully, will have news on initial orders soon.

Following a meeting with representatives of parents and principals of secondary, the Secretaries of Education and Health, Reyes Tamez and Gilberto Montiel, announced the review psychometric with which the sample will be obtained for the implementation of anti-doping, that is will through saliva tests.

"The most important thing is that it is neither intended to be a punitive test is a timely detection of addiction," said Montiel.

For his part, Secretary of Education reported that the test will be done 22 thousand 371 students and includes seven steps: selection of school; Board of information with parents and distribution of materials in which addresses the symptoms of addictions; the application of the test; the assessment and delivery of results; the selection of risk groups; determining the kind of support for each campus and monitoring"
