I rang Etrade today to request a document proving that Etrade account is covered under the Government Guarantee Scheme, I was given the following link, in which it clearly stated E*trade Cash Management Account is covered by this scheme:

I did notice that this document is dated 2008, and even ANZ web site hasn't renew the information under the new scheme.

To my understanding that up to 250K per user is guranteed under this scheme. I will try to phone ANZ to verify this.

If someone here could give me a help regarding whether ANZ Etrade Cash Management Account is the trading account, or the account in ANZ? I did notice there is a difference of account balances between logging into ANZ and Etrade.
