Is it legal for this company to withhold our free equity when the company is not in receivership or has gone under?

Who is interested in joining me in a MF Global class action. IMF is a publicly listed company on ASX and they will fund anything over $2million.
This is legal wrong and they have advised us that our money is safe in FREE equity. However holding off on transfering that money is discusting!
