That 218k was me! Thought long and hard about waiting until the price was 44c so Colinchi wouldn't consider me unethical buying below my 'tempted at current price' thread starter but alas it's tempting at these prices.

Good chat about pros and cons (and yes you too Colinchi). Appreciate all your thoughts. I particularly like those that espouse the strengthening East economies and their love of gold.
Interesting point about whether wealth will cause eastern cultures to be more like western and lose their desire for gold. I doubt it, too enshrined in their culture for even material wealth to alter that. I think more likely that western peoples will return to gold as global currencies are all over the place!
