Hi lost all rough back of the envelope calculations. Dividends are FY not CY, so technically wrong given that 1h dividend was paid a few months ago.
Basically for me I use a scatter gun approach to buy shares that I think are trading under fair value.
I use 5 position rule (which gives me a 5% portfolio allocation), and a rule that no individual position can be greater than 10% of the portfolio. I do often buy half positions as well, especially during volatile share price movements.
At the moment I have 2 positions filled (ie 40% of my targeted 5% allocation).
So plenty of room to slowly dollar average downwards from here.
The underlying MFG business is a quality business, and I believe in the investment philosophy that MFG follows. So I am prepared to go to 5% of the portfolio if the price is right.
