ion my mind it is definitely under valued. It has sting BS and well balanced portfolio of stocks which are the best you can buy in US market.. of course there are two Chinese based companies which could turn to be a problem. These two has a very low valuation and I don’t think go much lower. Based on FUM of 117B+, , in FY 21 it earned EPS of $2.48 pre associate and pre fund restructure cost(as these one off cost), EPS of $2.75 to 2.80 very achievable, as long no major in eruption in the global market. You need to value based on realistic PE ratio & DCF rate. Based on these numbers it is minimum of $50 per share. If the global economy keeps growing it will be $55 or so. Right now investors are looking at MFG from 2021 FY perspective. As soon as they start focusing on 2022 earnings and few months of 117B FUM becomes visible, it should be positive for MFG to at least A$50. For long term assessments MFG have to some colour on their principal direct investment which will take a while. Short term don’t forget MFG is around 5.6% dividend yield too and solid. This is my view at the moment.
