I still go back to last 6 months performance of Total MFG fund vs Dow, All ord,S&P500, Asx200Msci world index. During this period Magellan has clearly performed better than these indexes. Same if you compare the last 3 months, total fund has increased by higher % than indexes. Also don’t forget Magellan pays 5-6% dividend when the average dividend of all these indexes are between 1 to 3%. MFG needs few more months of FUM data to show they are doing better than indexes so that people forget the 9 months bad performance during Covid. Institutional investors will be significant, but if they did not move during Covid related bad performance time, why will they change now. We will they go.? I have these info in a spreadsheet.
