@woollydog and @matty42 does Magellan provide a breakup of how the $115B FUM is broken down by their various funds?
Also I think it will be interesting as well as very powerful if one can assess how much of the $115B in FUM in total is invested in Alibaba. Having a look at the Alibaba stock history in the last 12 months isnt a pretty picture and I am trying to assess through the various Magellan funds what is their total exposure. I am confident in the long term the Alibaba investment will payoff, however in the short term performance of the fund will be hit.
Lastly, I think its heartening for us retail investors to note directors buying stock at this depressed prices. For those that follow MFG closely, has Hamish Douglass bought stock in previous years when he considered the price was below its intrinsic value? If I saw him purchase stock at the moment it would give me a lot more confidence to take a large position, however I am not sure if he ever does purchase in the open market.
