Is there confusion on this thread between FUM growth versus the actual performance/returns of funds ?
If FUM grows from $100b to $105b this doesn’t mean returns/performance of 5%. This could simply be $5b of new funds coming in and the actual performance/returns are zero.
Apologies if everyone gets that but from the arguments going back and forth here there seems to be a lot of confusion and disagreement around this.
