one can see from your post, why there is such interest in passive index investing with its lower cost structure.
Looking at your fund performance for Magellan and comparing it to the index:
Short term: 1 month, 3 months and 1 year: all under performed (but to me this is not important as its short term)

However: 3 years and 5 years: underperformed the index, and more importantly over 10 years (a long time) only outperformed by a measly 0.9%.

Only over its inception has the fund outperformed meaningfully by 4%.

I see why the market is worried about both redemptions and the pressure to lower fees.

I am watching this stock, but not ready to strike.
