rajivs portfolios have very good downside capture. see page 48 of the prospectus. it is not fair to say that hamish is the only show in town with downside protection.
if you listen to the podcast rajiv explains his thesis on russia and sberbank.
on page 59 is the risk adjusted performance. he has 6-7%pa risk adjusted alpha. on page 60 it shows his beta is consistently at the lowest of the bottom quartile. and outperformance at the highest quartile.
alot of the comments that say MFG has XYZ qualities because hamish did a webinar saying so and therefore GQG is risky is not looking at the data.
