Absolutely, I think it is not only UBS loosing to Barrenjoey, it is all other IB loosing market share. So if you harm the financiers of new start up they will get an advantage. I have a bigger issue with the way markets are allowed to operate and regulate. In this case based on information available to public, how can UBS forecast 2.27 EPS for next year. Factually MFG made 2.25 EPS in 2021 with FUM of 103.5.B. So now for them to say next year EPS is going to be 2.27 is absurd. In this case we are talking about next 9 months forecast only. Short term FCST. So either they have more insider type of information or expecting a major outflow for of A$13.5B between now and June 2022 to bring it back to average of 103.5B. Or they are expecting a market crash in the world stock market which should be reflected in all other company forecast of theirs. These kind of assumptions from big Investment Bank should be challenged by some regulators. If they have some insider information to say how A13.5B going to walk out from MFG between now and end June 2022, that is something all of us should have access. If it is a wild guess it should be shown big Red letters. I have taken just next year’s forecast to display how absurd the way the market is allowed to operate with so many regulators are supposed to be over looking. I understand long term forecast you can have weird assumptions incorporated about performance. I have written about this too. Main thing for us is this is one forecast and the reasons can be something only they will know. This is free society you can write anything you like , but IB should be given more instructions.
