With all the market upheaval I have put together the performance of indexes against MFG total fund and MGOC SP&unit vs VGS price movements for month of January 2022.In spite of Netflex taking a hit MFG is holding on pretty well. The infrastructure fund has hardly moved and so is consumer goods and services, Utility in sectors in in the main funds. With cash in hand about $5B, hopefully MFG can show the small % out performance they had before Covid related dump of liquidity. These are running numbers and MFG total FUM are only an estimate as I don't have the latest portfolio construction. But this serve the purpose of some getting carried away with one stock like Netflex in a portfolio of 20 to 25 shares taking a hit. There are indexes and portfolios performing much worse including crypto currencies. MFG share price will take a while to recover from bad image it received over last 18 months due to Covid related stimulus it missed out.
