I force myself to keep 15-20% in cash at all times. It’s been a little frustrating sticking to this over the past 12 months when this 15-20% could have so obviously been put to better use.
But I do it for my mental health so that in times like these I don’t get despondent about the red ink all over my portfolio .....I actually get a bit ‘up and about’ at the prospect of going shopping.....and the ‘out of favour’ MFG is well and truly on my shopping list.
I say this because MFG is already oversold/undervalued and now it’s going to get taken down further by the market with some indiscriminate and disproportionate selling .....perfect.
