Yes positions opened on Monday this week would be in loss. There were a net 1.5M additional shares shorted on Monday.
There were almost 6M shares traded on Monday - assume this is some old short positions closed and should reduce open shorts reported on Tuesday the 05/02/22.
Last week there was a net 1M additional shares shorted - these positions would have made money shorting at $19.95 down to $18.50, if closed on Monday.
