many companies are like a 'house of cards', ready to collapse.
the people running them, do not know what their true financial positions are and what is real and what is not.
many companies take large risks.
that's why fund managers stick to companies with real money in the bank, like apple and microsoft and are conservativily run.
or else they do not want naked position in equities and they buy shares and write call and puts against their portfoilo.
this is the first time, for a while, i have had reasonable positions in shares. most of the time, i just invest in quants, other types of low fee hedge funds, commodities and leveraged interest investments.
