I smell a RAT.As far as I understand it, the main reason that sparked their SP to fall was their ann to demerger which was not receiced too well.And that some how forced them to air their financial problems.(opened a can of worms).their last ann says "Given the proposals received and the market reaction to aspects of the demerger proposal
announced on Friday 18 January, MFS has decided to not continue with the structural separation
of Stella from the financial services business in the form proposed".Now this should help the SP, mayby even back to about the $2 mark on its own.(you would think the CO would have seeked advice before announcing the demerger).they wouldn't be in this situation.
Anyway, because this all seems like common sense, making the ann in the first place seems a little sus or really really stupid.
Just my confused thougts.
