jadel ... at risk of setting myself up as a punching bag athyrio's posts (on this thread at least - can't comment on others not read) were on topic, and IMO nothing unreasonable.

Someone who points out all the negatives that have come up and that will impact what might remain going forward has just a valid a point of view as others pointing out their hopes.

In fact, I would call it more realistic than someone saying "I can't help but feel optimistic".
