Reading from the latest quarterly to me it seems the excised area is not as attractive as what may have been expected.
MG14: (1.1 Mt@ 1.7% Cu)
Copper recovery 68.9%
Cobalt recovery 87.4%
Windabout: (18.7 Mt@ 1.0% Cu)
Copper recovery 55%
Cobalt recovery 76%
It is now being proposed that one option may be to develop MG14 on a standalone basis and to not develop Windabout.
As MG14 would only be a 2 year operation this appears to significantly reduce the attractiveness/viability of the excised area ever being developed?
It seems like no smelter is interested in paying for the cobalt credits so the way I read it not much will be happening on the copper front?
