Bernie Maddoff was also considered an investment guru for decades! Past performance is not an indication for future results. And hype and PR is astounding with 15-19% losses in last 12 months and pig headed approach of not tweaking the portfolio. It might take it another year just to recover to par (if at all it recovers). Nasdaq, Dow and S&P all are soaring yet Magellan keeps sinking. That’s some genius management.
