We were in this same position in the months prior to OC expirey... and we ended up well in the money come the date.
SP tends to run leading up to expirey for conversion purposes etc... especially if it the direct shares are near or above strike. With a few months left till expirey and SP creating support at low 4s im not worried that they will be viable come end October.
