Penny Wong comes from a family of deforesters the Wongs of the state of Sarawak in Borneo east Malaysia. Its time we put the boot into everyone. This is a free for all and Keating created the level playing field. We are a bulldozer so lets go flatten the field.
The Wong Family have already done their bit by becoming the largest of the loggers this world has known logging as far away as Brzil's amazon, Siberia (their equipment being shipped from PNG), Gabon, Myanmar, Kampuchea (using Khemer Rouge sub contractors)Phillippines where they have agreements with the Moro not to bother them for a fee and most African countries on its west coast.
We need to dump. Lets get workers on the dole to work in factories and mines, pay them the dole plus a small wage but make them work. Lets sell the products from these mines and factories at prices they cannot compete with abroad and absorb the cost of doing it for a couple of years till the competition is dead and cannot reinvent itself then raise prices to re coup these marketing costs.
China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Malaysia did it for decades I suspect paying our politicians in the process. We too can.
