An interconnector has been in the pipelines for a while. As of July it was slated by AEMO as a priority and has been granted major project status. The FR article i just read stated the builders are in the finance stage of operation. Since ScoMo just released his new energy led plan I think they might have found some $$ help. Interconnector Due to be completed 2022. Just in time but as stated above might not even need it.. IMO being out this way, water is our more important puzzle to solve and next big hurdle.
