Its hard to tell the reasoning behind it all, as without knowing whos behind the sell its all just speculation, however, I know just yesterday someone was trying to close the price lower with just a 1 lot sell into 3.1, so when I see things like that I actually take it as a bullish sign, people wanting to keep price low and for it not to pop up on the radar must mean they are wanting to accumulate without showing their hand to market.

There is definitely still a seller in there at the moment, they are mainly staying off market (ie not putting orders in the book but just hitting orders on market as bids come up) You can see this as they are waiting for bids to thicken up, then they will dump a couple of million on the bid, without putting their sell order on offer. Thats why now its looking attractive when you look at the bids vs offers, and see sell side is so thin, but really there is a seller there just waiting to hit into buyers that pop up. A lot of little trading games going on, it is frustrating, but if your watching it closely can use it to your advantage (like buying in the closing / opening auctions, getting out during the day on Chi-X.)
