I think most if not all companies would want to market themselves in the best way they know how.

I do count Sockhead a tier above Motley, just because Motley runs a 'secret club' agenda, whilst still almost always being very incorrect in its company analysis.

nothing wrong with informed, transparent advertising though. There's many platforms/methods to do it, some arguably better than others.

I don't blame HIO or MGT for their marketing efforts... they're both just doing their job, really.

I also think there's a pump factor to most stocks that do well. "The pump" is not an equitable variable from the market - its inherent to the market itself.
pumps and drops are just results from market adrenaline doing its thing.

we've got bashers and fanboys here, just like there's bashers and fanboys with any stock thats active.
I'm an MGT fanboy, and will readily admit that.

I think there's healthy ways to communicate on these forums, but the magic of HC is that we get the unadulterated market society.

I don't feel there's a difference between 'real investors' and mom's and dads. I think thats silly crap we try and push stemming from our individual rigid and structured ways of thinking.
Sure there are instos. But there's also just people in our community with big money. And lots of volumes of small money.
and, money is money, no matter who it comes from.
