I agree - I just think the real value of options to MGT is that allows the company to raise additional funds if the options are sufficiently in the money
By extending the expiry, you increase the time value of the options and increase the likelihood they will get exercised.
It would be a win win scenario imo. I just think 12 months expiry is a little short although the company may also feel that the SP could be worth much more by late 2023
