We are at the pointy end on sea water planning, funding and close to decision time. The DFS can't happen unless this is nutted out and this also hinges on the JV with the Japanese cpy that Tim declared he is in some type of final negotiations with 1 interested party (as of 1 Feb 2024). He did say JV but did not mention take off agreement.

Tim also mentioned funding for 200kil may have some govt support. I read below that SA govt kicked in $10M and Feds $5M but that is a massive 600kil and to benefit multiple geographical locations.

The Northern Water Supply Project is a proposed desalination project that will supply water to the far north and Upper Spencer Gulf areas of South Australia. The proposed scope of the works includes:

• a seawater desalination plant (up to 260 Megalitres/day) in the Upper Spencer Gulf
• a 600km water pipeline to the far north of South Australia. The pipeline will link Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Whyalla, Port Augusta, Woomera, Carapateena, Roxby Downs, Pimba, and Olympic Dam
• water storage and pumping stations, and
• other ancillary infrastructure.

The desalination plant is expected to be constructed in two stages, each with a capacity of around 130 ML per day. The plant will intake water from the Spencer Gulf and use reverse osmosis to desalinate the water.
