Also keep your eye on Course Of Sales in yr trading platform, combine that with the Market Depth page and make your own conclusions about patterns and behavior.
Make sure your trading platform is not running on a 20 min delay to what's actually happening on the ASX. This can cost you a lot of money.
I don't claim to be an expert by any means, but it sounds like you are starting from the ground up and really don't know too much about what you are doing. I don't mean to be rude, I really don't, we all start somwhere. Good luck in your trading adventures, really hope it works out for you.
