I keep an eye on the Price History tabs (through ANZ). I just extracted the below to highlight my point.
Yellow, comparable number of trades for the day.
Green, comparable volume of shares traded for the day.
Look at yesterday, and compare with the highlights (Y&G), higher volume per trade is an obvious fact.... I should've done a calc to that effect.... ah, better (just redone with the column J calculation).
Now, you'll also see that there are only two days where the "average volume per trade" (column J) is higher than yesterday, being Wednesday & Thursday last week.
I just realised, look at Tuesday.... I should've inserted commas, make that three days for av trade volumes. (this is the edited bit)
