100%. One of the things with Simandou is that it’s also one of the wettest African countries, the rainy season there goes from June - November. The average rainfall is 430cm, surely more in the elevated highland ranges where the mine is located. That’ll cause problems from construction through to sustained production. The planned railway which traverses the entire country also crosses multiple active fault lines. They’re going to have all the same problems Vale has in Brazil, probably worse too.
