Hi Guys and Girls, as I have worked in mining for years all around Australia, including for Fortescue Metals (FMG) at Christmas Creek Iron Ore mine in the Pilbara, I decided to do a bit of investigating with Google Earth and a few other specialty satellite imagery websites to have a look for myself at the deposits within the area owned by Magnetite Mines.

This my friends is what we are all spending our money on, what we own shares in, and what dreams are made of. This thick black band of Magnetite is clearly evident on the surface, up to 1km wide and many many many km long in numerous locations. The first photo is just one small section, about 10 square km of the total 1700 square km that Magnetite Mines own. This is the reason its stripping ratio is so low, this is the reason production costs will be so low, and this is the reason they hold the worlds most significant magnetite deposit.

The second photo is of drill sites where they have taking core samples to both map the extent and depth of the magnetite, and to also test and measure the FE (iron) levels within the deposit across the tenement.

If there are any tech savvy people here, they should hop online and search the area on live satellite maps and look for current workings and drill sites - and you might get a little bit of an idea how big this deposit is, and if you look closely you might see machines digging for samples, geologists out doing inspections, or find their onsite accommodation/office. Lets see what they are doing on site each day ! Lets see who can find some juicy info. I've had a good look but I'm sure you guys can find some awesome details to post up here.
