Yes you make a very good point - iron ore is not cobalt. I totally agree there's much wider usage etc. To be clear, I'm not trying to compare the commodities at all (or even the companies), but simply to demonstrate that a mineral that the US Government has just deemed 'strategically important', which will be coming out of the only producing cobalt mine in the US, (to my mind) seems to have got private finance over the line at pretty steep terms. It's an illustration only, and your point about iron is well made.

But yes for MGT it's all in the pudding and it needs time to bake. That's why I'm not suggesting MGT is either a good or bad investment, I'm more interested in the mechanics of the finance, and I keenly watch how companies like them will go about getting their capex filled.
