Hi N88. Thanks for dropping by. Like your table. It's hard to put an Iron Ore Price for MGX, because the $AUD received is step-changing upwards just at present. If your number is historical, then it is too high as we've been shipping 59% until about now. If it looks forward then you need to use a 65% price for Koolan, because that is what MGX will be shipping from now on [minimum, could even be a higher grade]. Though as the Rocket says, correctly, in the recent past we've been taking a bit of a discount.
Every owner here knows that mine life is relatively short for MGX, even with more drilling. It's commonly assumed that MGX is looking for one or more projects to replace the two existing mines. The plan here is a 'dash for dollars' over the next X years, using the high earnings not only to reward shareholders, but to buy one or more projects, probably not iron ore. I'd like to see a buy in to Mr Beament's new Pilbara project , myself.
Finally, I wouldn't be too bothered by a 30 year, 60 year or even 5000 year mine life claim over at GRR. Firstly, those claims are not JORC 2012 compliant, so just speculative. And more importantly, no matter how many years of undeveloped life there might be remaining at Savage River, unless there is a major infrastructure upgrade, GRR can only get 3 million tonnes per year through the choke points in their ore processing equipment. In the last 20 years their annual run rate has never been more than about 2.5 million tonnes p.a.
