Some of the best calls I have made is when the technicals are weak. If you believe in your FA , then sometimes waiting for TA to improve and give you buy signal means you left a big % of return on the table . I will show your for illustrative pursposes only .
I have a 100k to invest and I can buy now or wait for TA to confirm trend change and buy .
let’s assume I don’t wait and buy now. I would buy 208333 shares
Investor B waits for TA buy confirmation and buys at 57 ( making it up ) they buy 175438

now both investor A and B are correct that MGX was undervalued and it steadily trades up to 1 dollar

investor A makes 108% vs investor B who makes 75% They likelihood is return will be even greater as investor A will also get higher dividend income .

so my point is waiting for charts to trigger a buy sometime results in a poorer return outcome as all you are waiting for is the valuation gap to narrow.

I am assuming one possesses skills to make a strong FA call
