I admit I don’t really understand. If they distributed a pre-tax dividend, it just means that I have to pay tax on it - I thought the amount extra I have to pay is exactly the same as they would have had to reduce the dividend by if they’d paid the corporate tax on it first. Or am I wrong there?
This is just a general question for my education, though, because I recognise it’s a completely moot point when they’ve said they’re not going to do it anyway.
