I wonder if its possible to walk into an airport carrying a common make of luggage such as Samsonite (+bomb) and then swap it with someone else's luggage while they weren't looking. It would need to look exactly the same and be the roughly same weight. 5 different types of bags increases the odds of a match.

They would need to do this at check in. Distract passenger by bumping into them and then second person swaps bags while not being seen by cctv. The mule then checks the bomb laden bag in.

Once bomb loaded other 4 check their bags in and all 5 leave the airport. Those bags belonging to the 5 get removed. Bomb bag remains with the mule.

Choose the "red eye" flight when the X-ray operator is tired.
