    There are multiple radar reports that the plane did a U-Turn before it disappeared off radar. So maybe it kept flying below radar to somewhere? If hijacked the pilots only have to flick a switch to alert air controllers of this. "

    ABC's 7.30 this evening had an American expert discussing the situation and in particular this suggested turn.
    Her conclusion on this was that the most likely cause of such a 'turn' was a stall of the aircraft which usually results in such a turning type motion.

    She had been a lead investigator in the 911 events and all other major disasters such as the Air France loss of life in (I think) 2009.

    Without any debris or any other information, they have very little on which to base any conclusion at this stage.
